This past year might have gone by super fast and Santa may not have left the secret to looking glam in this coming year.

But here are 5 quick tips to make you feel and look phenomenal in 2019.

1.Energise your skin rather than plain moisturizing.

The benefits of plain moisturizing are no secret. It has been talked about over and over again about how it has long-term advantages of keeping your skin hydrated and moist with a moisturizer.

But its time now to raise your game and switch a regular moisturizer to something more energizing for the skin like a vitamin c, vitamin E or an AHA moisturizer that gives additional benefits and works on giving your skin a boost of glow while it serves the purpose of hydrating it.

2. Dont be afraid to use makeup-good makeup.

You dont need to curb your desire to play with the latest makeup trends.

Using makeup cannot be necessarily bad for your skin if you get a little more careful with choosing your regular makeup.

A lot of beauty brands have come up with combinations of skincare and makeup like serum foundations, tinted moisturizers and treatment based eye concealers.

Instead of using the conventional makeup brands, switch to natural makeup that is chemical free and nutrient rich. It would rather benefit the skin than harm it.

Use the natural alternatives to the chemical based ones and you dont have to worry about the harmful effects of makeup on your skin.

3.You are what you eat.

What will help your skin is less sugar and more antioxidant foods like Wholegrain, blueberries, avocados, and pomegranate.

Sugary food causes inflammation that sparks the breakdown of collagen and elastin resulting in dullness and premature ageing of skin. Reducing the intake of sugar in your diet will aid in healthy, younger looking skin.

Make sure you have your essential vitamins and minerals in your food by stressing more on foods rich in antioxidants that help fight free radicals and help to keep your skin plump and healthy.

4.Wear a Perfume

There is this mysteries connection between wearing a scent and looking beautiful.

Backed by science, a research from the Monell Chemical Senses Center suggests that womens faces are rated as more attractive in the presence of pleasant odours.

Pleasant scents and scent-based products have been used for centuries to further intensify overall appearances.

It plays a huge role in the way you feel about yourself, making you feel more attractive and confident in your skin.

So find the right fragrance for yourself that you can relate to on the emotional level, and dont forget to complete your look with it each day.

5.Change your skincare with the weather.

Like everything else, even your skincare needs to get changed with the weather.

Colder months make the oil glands produce less oil making the skin dry and stretchy.

Hot and humid weather opens up the pores gathering more oil and dirt leading to congestion and acne.

The smart thing to do is change your skincare with the change in weather, especially the cleanser and the moisturizer, and help your skin deal with the change.

So lets start afresh and welcome the new year by resolving to try new things, learn, change and push the limits to be our best selves.
